Marcus, To many other variables to predict what it will run. Temperature, what tires, wind, tune on the motor, strip surface, reliability of drivetrain, and finally TUNE ON THE DRIVER. haha!!!
OK here is my window: 14.50 to 18.00. I know that's a lot of space but my chances of being right are better.
Are you planning on running it sometime (HAMB drags)? Keep us informed.

Should run in low 14s/98-102s in the dana 44 holds up! Same rear end as 49-51 Mercs and 53-56 F 100s. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

That’s a pretty heavy rig, and it has all the aerodynamics of a brick. Not sure about where you are, I’d say up here at Bandimere (over 5000ft elevation) you’d click off a high-15.

One thing that may help the rear hold up is trucks ain't got the best weight distribution & tend to have little traction unless heavily modified...

I predict hi 14s at best - probably 15s

I say mid 13's to low 14's at the worst. Friend has a '69 ford s/b with a healthy 351c (approx 375-400 hp) that runs high 12's all day. Geared really low and stripped, about 3200 lbs if that helps.

So far my prediction is in good company. It's always amazed me how much slower a drag car is than what you expect when your building it. Not to mean it WON'T run up to expectations, but the initial outings are usually a little on the disapointing side. It separates the men from the boys. The men stick with it and sort the combination out. The boys return to the drivein and talk about how timed runs are just a waste of time.

hahaha!!Well the trailer trash is long gone!! Honestly Germ I have over twice that into it believe it or not..I could never sell that Cad..I went through too much to build that engine..I know I pimp off alot of shit..But thats not one of them, even though I tried at one time and came to my senses.I'm so fuckin close to firing it up its a joke!! I have a new Moon 15 gallon tank ready to install, add oil,a fan belt, and a battery, and its running!!The big issue is I have no place to work on it..But I will soon,if all goes to plan.I just don't want to dump a bunch of money into it yet without having a little saved up in the bank first...A few more shit box ebay sellers and I'll be ok...Its all dollars and cents at this point...The only thing i would even consider doing would be to trade for a professionally built 392 Hemi maybe....

Hey marcus, Where did you get your 400HP figure from? Cuz I know around here most of the 400HP cars make about 250HP http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Honestly though, I'd say that combo would run low 14's around here..... put it in the crappy Cali air, and well, I think most of these guys are right!
