i see some of you guys running air tanks for gas tanks...i have a few old beer kegs out of race cars but they are only 7.75 gallons....i work in the sign shop at a beer warehouse/distributor so i can get a bigger keg...but i was wondering...if you run something of this sort..what do you do to keep the gas from sloshing around...put foam in it?.....i'll probably end up just running the 48 ford truck tank that i have anyways but id still like to know just incase i go that route

thanks

I have a f1 rust bucket that I will be parting out. if I am able to this weekend I will pull the tank and saw it apart and tell you if it has baffels or what.

I didnt worry about gas sloshing in the beer keg gas tank I used. I had a 68 Dodge Charger gas cap on it.

I put a 68' mustang tank on my truck and it doesn't have any baffles in it. JUst the walls of the tank. I don't have a problem with shloshing.

Good question...,

Early mustang tanks work great in flat configuration..., but what do people use for verticle applications such as a roadster with a Rumble seat...? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I ran a set of LTL Saddle tanks on a full fendered "A" and I hated it! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Upon hard acceleration all of the fuel would slosh freely to the back, away from the pick-up tube located at the front of the tank and I'd litterally starve the engine out well before the end of the 1/4 mile! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
