I am OK. The bad ones were up closer to Drew (Abomber30) though. There was one 20 miles east of my place. I just happened to be over there in it's path looking at some junk when the sirens went off. I thought maybe I'd at least get to see the funnel cloud. No such luck. I have still never seen one.

You've got your quakes, we've got tornadoes.

Anyone live near Utica? Looks as though the whole downtown got removed, I hear. With four dead.

You guys sure do get some extreme weather sometimes & we moan about a little rain & sometimes the cold. What do you do when they get close? take cover or make a run for it.....just curious, i'd hate to leave cars & stuff behind.

We normally go to a basement and ride it out. Can't take the vehicles with us though http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
If that doesn't work we just put our heads between our legs and kiss our ass goodbye. This ain't Kansas anymore Toto.

there is a downtown utica? isn't that like only 2,000 people in that town? or is it less than that?

I haven't watched the news yet. The wind was blowing something fierce this early morning. Blew the mini-blinds enough to knock my lamp over in the bedroom.

Thought I heard em say that there was a population of only 400 in Utica. The 4 that were killed had taken refuge in the basement of a Tavern. I always thought that the basement was the best place to be.

well I knew there weren't many in utica but you know how some rural towns are...huge ass subdivision outside of town that is considered in town that jacks up the pop count..

well looks like downtown uticas economy is shot......lost the tavern.....
