View Full Version : Build sites
I was so taken with the geezer earlier this week showing the steps he took to chop a bed, split wishbones, etc. (I owe him a beer if I ever get the op) that I've been looking for websites with build diaries and pics and stuff as a way to learn from others (you should see my pile of books, it's would choke a blue whale).
Anyone know of such sites they seem thin on the group. I'm wondering if monkeying about with rusty tin and web sites are mutually exclusive ... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Are you back in Phoenix already? Didn't you just leave for Sweden? Or is this another Sven?

From England. (http://www.the-antidote.com/frames/1home.htm)
Sveden? Not I! I suspect there are two Svensters in Phoenix, someone else mentioned they knew someone called Sven here.

Well no shit...Welcome anyway. The guy I'm thinking of went back to Sweden a couple of months ago. Welcome anyway. What do you drive and which cruise nights do you go to?

Deyo, this Sven is not the same Sven that was at the Friday night meet at 35th and Northern some months back, and is now in Sweden. This Sven is a man of few words. He never smiles or laughs. He might be dangerous. Don't piss him off.
He wrote his intro awhile back, which can be found at

Bahaha ... I'm only dangerous to myself when I'm working on reducing the world surplus of PBR and a welder is close by.

Sorry I hijacked your post SVEN. I didn't think Sven was common enough a name that there would be 2 HAMB guys both with Phoenix connections with that name...
Anyway, there was a post a month ago where they did a weekend thrash on Zeke's HAMB Gasser. Do a search for that. Also, see if you can search for the pics from past HAMB chops, and sit tight for the next one- probably in a couple of months.
Primerkid, Yeah, still beating on the 55, almost every day, which means it is getting less and less awesome every time I drive it. Thanks for the kind words. Hope you are having a blast over there. I imagine you miss your cars pretty bad. The eventual reunion will be nice.
NP. Sven isn't my name as I suspect Deyomatic isn't yours. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
Some dude I used to work with back in the day thought I looked a bit Scandinavian and he christened me thus. It stuck ...
