After many years of dreaming and tons of hard work, a friend of mine has started building wiring harnesess at his shop in Tennessee. He's asked me to help market these items, so had him send me several for approval. I am totally impressed at not only the quality but the price. He's building great kits in America with American made components...for me, a breath of fresh air.
I truely feel that this would be a great addition to the Alliance Vendor list, and the owner has given me permission to discout to Alliance Members. The problem is that I have tried to contact Ryan through the link at the bottom of the Vendor page several times and my e-mails keep coming back. I've posted a page on my web site at http://www.carartonline.com/rebelwire.shtml if you would like to see if this is a product suitable for the list. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What sort of discount are you able to offer? The kits look pretty nice. Mike

Mike, Ryan hasn't approved our application as yet, but would be glad to give you a 10% discount in the mean time. And yes, I think the kits are great. Basic and well made right here in the good ole USA.

Thanks. I'm not close to ready to buy a harness yet but I'll save this thread and come back later. Thanks Glenn. Mike

A thought just occured to me and I noticed that you've started three posts and not one in the forsale section for these things.
First let me say this, and sorry to get off the subject but... I was at Hunnert and as for your post about "To rat or not to rat?" I can say not. I have never seens o many cars where the "Rat Rodder" actually put rats of some form on the car. This is not meant to be a criticism of the Hunnert show at all. It's my favorite long haul show. Just sad as it seems we have cry baby dolls on one end and stuffed rats on the other.
LAME.
Back to the regularly scheduled program.....
Your buddy should sign-on, share some tips one wiring and post those things for sale. Get some guys to use them and get some feedback going here and the Alliance thing may come easier.
Unless he's computer challenged and then he will need a buddy to help him with that part.
Just some thoughts...

Curious, Thanks for the feedback. You're right, I should post in the "for sale" section, and will do. I believe in these harnesses and think that anyone who sees them would agree with me that they are well built and easy to use.
As far as Bob signing on, you hit the nail on the head. He's very computer challenged and that's why I'm helping him get the word out (though I'm only a little less challenged than he is). He doesn't even use e-mail so we talk on the phone or in person....hopefully that will change.
Love your comments on the Hunnert Car Pile Up. I feel the same, and your analogy of the rats and crying babies is what prompted that thread....but it seems that I stepped on some toes...oh well...
Off the subject, but really liked the thread "long lost Detroit pics" started by vintagesurvior this morning. That's what traditional rodding is all about...knowing our history....these are the cars I grew up with and the type of car I'm building today.

What alot of people fail to realize is that we Classified Editors see nearly every ad that runs through there. We honestly don't go looking for trouble but deal with things as they are reported or as we just happen to trip over them.
My point is that we get a feel for ads that work and ads that don't and are more than willing to help people put together ads that work. We want it to work for people or we would let it turn into the cesspool you see on most sites. Case in point, Corncobcoupe... He's running four ads right now and they are brilliantly done. He is selling his stuff like crazy. I wonder how he knows what works?
But we are rarely asked for assistance in that manner so I'm just starting to offer my thoughts and people can take them or leave them.
As far as the Rat Rod thread, I haven't re-read it and quit checking it on it's first go round so I'm unaware of the toes you stepped on. Truth is, some of the people with the rides we speak of are HAMBers and will take offense. So be it. It's America and we're just as entitled to discuss how corny, lame, sad and mis-guided :D we think it is as they are to put that stuff on their rides.
It's like most things though, there's a fine line between funny or ironic (Rat rod with a rat on it) and trying to hard (Rat rod with 100 rats on it).
It's like Rockabilly music. I like it. The real stuff. But I've heard plenty that is crap and the only thing that makes it Rockabilly is the fact that they SCREAM rockabilly about ten times in the song. You don't need to say rockabilly in the song if it is rockabilly and you don't have to put rats on your ride to let everyone know it's a rat rod.
And people wonder why they aren't taken seriously.
I'm a toe KILLA!
Let me know if you neeed help getting an ad together for the wiring kits.

Thanks for the time and the guidance...will let you know if I get stuck makin up the ad.
Side note...If you like good Rockabilly and haven't heard "Dwight Live" by Dwight Yokum, check it out. Some people discount it, but great music with lots of energy.
