Howdy, Tim here. I just had a question about Model T width for the interior specifically. I have a 26 T roadster body and found a seat back and bottom out of a 26 coupe. would the width be the same? Any help on this would be great.
Thanks

maybe this will help out a bit. its a link straight to the PDF

perhaps with the frame dimensions you can roughly calculate where the seat will be and get your width from there?

Well the seat is on ebay and the car is about 30 miles south of where I am now....just figured I'd ask the HAMB first.

If he's in Port Orange, that's over by Daytona. You could always get on the Macs or Snyders websites and check on the sizes of the seat risers. When cotton gets old it gets dry and brittle, you may want to take that into consideration if it's got the original upholstery.

I guess that means you somehow got dibs on it right? It might save me time from building a seat is all. I have a bottom made but it would be nice to have some springs...instead of just wood and foam. Daytona is not that far and I'd be willing to take a drive.

I guess the better question to ask is does anyone know the width of the 26 T Roadster where the seat sits?

If a seat bottom with a spring were installed in a '26 roadster you would sit so high in the car you'd be at risk of falling out. The top of the body behind the door would be just above your waste.

I would be cutting out the seat frame edge....so this wouldn't be a prob. I would put it right on the floor.

Mine is not a truck...its the regular roadster. I am sure that you can get some ideas from the forum though...just post the question....
