Hello to all

I guess a proper introduction is in order. My name is Chris Daniels, 29 yrs old located in Columbus Ohio. I am a product designer by trade and absolutely obsessed with hot rods. I can think of only one thing I like more, but sometimes even that’s debatable. I guess to other people it may look like I have a problem but to me it’s the fire in my gut that keeps me going. I’m sure all of you can relate.

I am in the process of building my first hot rod, a 1928 ford roadster on duce rails. It has been 10 years in the making. I finally have a decent job and a great garage to work in. Below are some pictures of the car as it sits today. The car will be late 40’s early 50’s period correct with a heavy lakes influence. I will be using as many original parts as I can or at least the best reproductions I can find.

There have been a few rough spots getting to where I am today the worst being theft. The car in the first picture is the second roadster I have bought, the first one was STOLEN before I even got lay my hands on it. I got on eBay in mid 2005 out of Idaho and was stolen during shipment (VIN# A2462738). I am almost positive the shipper took it. The story I got was he needed to do work to his hauler so he unloaded it in a parking lot in Taylorsville outside Salt Lake City Utah and left it over night. When he came back the next day it was gone. Yeah right! Anyway I had to get a lawyer but I finally got the money back after several months of threats. Do not under any circumstances use a shipper named BUSY BEE AUTO 2105 Bethel RD Pine Knot, KY 42635 bad people no respect and quite possibly thief’s!

Anyone out there seen my car?

I am back on track with this second A and ready to build the car of my dreams. The body is coming off in the next week or so. The fun begins! I will certainly be spending allot of time here on the HAMB. I would like to thank every one in advance for all the information I know I will receive.

Thanks
Chris
