Constructive replies only please. This is NOT the discussion forum.
Replies will be limited to questions and answers regarding the confirmation of a sale. Questions asked of the seller should be answered by the seller only. The "Nice setup" "Wish I were Closer" "Wish I had the money" remarks don't help anything and send the other ads down the list. Think a price is too high? Send the poster a PM. Remarks about pricing are pointless and they keep the ad floating at the top. If the price is high the seller should get the idea when no one replies. These types of replies will be deleted.

Please observe the "Three day bump."
This means that you cannot "bump", "BTTT" (back to the top), or other wise bring your ad back to the top more often than every three days. Sure, you can answer questions that are posted in the thread. Just keep in mind that we want the Classifieds to work well for Everyone. Please respect your fellow HAMBers.

NO EBAY links, or links to any other auction or general listing site.
The classifieds are provided free of charge to help one HAMBer sell his goods to another HAMBer. These ads typically cause drama and or discussion that the vast majority of us can do without. Ads with outside links will be deleted or locked at our discretion.

MOTORCYCLES: We love 'em. But not here. List them at The Jockey Journal (http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum).

If you have never posted in the Classifieds before, PLEASE read THIS POST (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=109208)for some helpful hints.

What you can sell....

Items that are currently in your posession:
I'm talking about the things that are in YOUR garage and ready to ship. This is not the place to take orders for items that are not yours yet.

CARS and PARTS:
We will allow ads for VEHICLES 1964 and older. The only exceptions will be those vehicles that share the same body style as the 64's. If your newer vehicle looks nothing like it's 1964 sibling, it will not be allowed.

Later model PARTS will be allowed assuming they might be used in the building of a Traditional Rod or Custom. This includes drive train and suspension parts, interior pieces like trim and seats, exterior pieces such as trim. YOU MAY NOT LIST year specific items such as body panels or glass. Discussion of later model vehicles can be handled through Private Messages.

Art and Automobilia:
This means the onesy-twosy artifacts that you have created and are hoping to turn to buy that last part for your ride. Not allowed are ads for mass produced items. The occasional off the wall collectible item may be allowed from time to time with PRE-APPROVAL.

Tools.
Auto, shop, and metal fab tools only.

No firearms, explosives or other non-car related items.
This is a broad area but we will have to trust that you weren't raised by wolves. No Russian Brides, Junk Jewelry, Vacation homes, Viagra etc. If you have to wonder if you should ask first, then you should ask first. If you are afraid to ask, you should go away.

Info your ad MUST contain...

Price:
You MUST include a price in American dollars. Listing twenty items, list twenty prices. Best offer or any other clever diversion will get your ad jacked with a quickness.

LOCATION:
You must include City and State in your ads. Buyers won't know if they can come look at whatever you're selling or figure out if they can get it home if they don't know where it is.

PICS:
We won't say pics are mandatory but come on, how you gonna convince somone you are on the ball and they need to send you twenty grand if you can't figure out how to post a pic (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6)?

Please tell us if you...
A) Plan on posting pics AND are fully capable of pulling off such an endeavor but the camera needs batteries or whatever.
B) Would like to post pics but may need some assistance (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=6)in doing so, so there may/may not be pics.
C) Would love to post pics but being born without thumbs leaves you at a disadvantage so there will be no pics.

NO Deadbeats: Listing an object on the HAMB classifieds or agreeing to buy an object found in the classifieds is serious. If you don't follow through on your commitment (to buy or sell), the HAMB will release your personal contact information to the public... And trust me, if you are reading this I can get anything I need to know about you.

See an ad that chaps your ass? Maybe we missed something?
