What is the year seperation on the oil pan gaskets for small block chevy? Is it 75? How do you tell? Is the dipstick on the driver or passenger side? Thanks!Bustingear. Dallas

I think its around about 79, or 80.

1957-1974 Thin front seal, left hand dipstick
1975-1979 Thick front seal, left hand dipstick
1980-1985 Thick front seal, right hand dipstick
