Hi everyone,

Just joined - both for info and support and to support those I can. I've been into building cars since I was in Jr. High. My first car was a 49 Chevy coupe - ended up with a '53 331 Caddy engine, Olds 4sp hydramatic and an Olds rearend. Re-built several times along the way. Finally traded it after I went into the AF, for a '31 5 window body and frame. My older brother traded that along with some of his stuff to some guy for a roll-top desk. It was a nice desk but I was still ticked about him giving my coupe away.

I now have a 51 Chevy 2-door that I drive every day to work - it needs everything but still gets me around. Plans are for a 4.3 V6 with 700R4 tranny and a Nova rear, Mustang II front and stock body. (Look at page 76 in the Feb 07 issue of Street Rodder for what I'm aiming at). One day...

I'll post some pictures as soon as I can shrink the size a little. They are just a tad bit large for the download.

Here's a pic taken just before I bought it. It now has 15" rallys with police caps and two coils cut from the front. Looks better but still need the body work done. When the weather is better and I can ride the bike to work.....

That's a neet little beater! I can picture it with about a 3" chop...
