Sorry, make that "Separate" categories...I'm a FNG, so I already realize my opinion or ideas probably don't count for much, but I was just wondering why there are not any separate categories within the HAMB board? "General Discussion" is great, but it seems like threads get lost really quick, and even using the search feature usually brings up 20 or more pages of stuff you have to sort through to find something... has anyone ever given consideration to breaking it up into a few (not a lot but a few) more specialized headings within the HAMB general discussion area? Categories such as Driveline Tech, Interior, Electrical, Wheels/Tires/Brakes, Chassis/Frame setups, General BS, etc. would seem to make sense to help navigate to threads of particular interest. Maybe thats been tried before, but it just seems like it would be helpful with the large amount of posts made here on a daily basis.

Just look at the "1932 Ford Club" post 3Window Larry started and you'll see that your idea won't sprout any wings and start flying.:)

F that F'n idea!
HAMB doesn't do it and I'm happy for it. Its such a nice breath of fresh air to NOT have the scabbed over cookie cutter look that so many of the other websites have stolen from each other.
Here's a new HAMB catch line for those who are overwelmed by the huge volumes of posts and information here......
"Welcome to the HAMB, just try to keep up!"

i think it is an outstanding idea... it is hard to find things that aren't 5 pages long and about shop names or your favorite road music or what does rat rod mean? the search function hates me... i've been screaming for it (subfolders / subforums) for years.
i want an off topic forum so i can finally talk about how much i like the black eyed peas.
Don't cloud it all up with a bunch of O/T crap and we'll be alright....
if it's a stellar thread it'll make it into the Tech-O-Matic....

OK, sorry I brought it up. :) I guess all the other websites are wrong in making stuff easier to find. I'll just keep using the search feature and keep reading...There IS a ton of good stuff here, if you can find it within the zillion other posts that aren't related to the topic you're looking for.

I'll tell you why there aren't a bajillion sections of the HAMB. ..
Because there would be more categories for the Mods to sift through looking for posts started in the wrong categories.
For instance, this very post started on the main board although there is a forum clearly marked for questions about the board.
At the same time, there is a post in this section, the section for questions about the board, in which a dude wants to know how to install his Mustang front end.
More sections equals more places for people to post without bothering to read first.
