Newbie, car addict

Hello, I am Dave and I have an addiction to cars. I'm new and don't have a lot of hands on experience and I hope to learn a lot from all of you. I have been in the Army for 12 years, and I am currently in Iraq. Since I have been here, some Army mechanics down the road got some extra parts and in their spare time built a military HMMWV six pax limo, it isn't a hot rod, but was built in the same spirit out of wrecked parts. I have to admire them for that. I am stationed in the Quad Cities area and if you need extra hands...let me know,
