War 'n Petes Racing

Hi all,
I Decided to register after being a fan of the message board for some time. I am 39 years old (at least I will be next week - the 18th) and have been into racing and modified cars most of my life. My grandfather raced speedcars in the '50s in Melbourne and my dad (now 64) still races dirt circuit cars.
I have wanted a rod all my life, but I have always thought if I was going to do it, I wanted to "do it right" - hence research and seeking advice from those more knowledgeable than I. Which is why I am here.
I have always considered "Rods" to be pre-48 but I am hoping there will be acceptance for my '54 Holden Utility :eek: and my '54 Ford F Truck :D .
