Silhouettes 57

Well I'm one of the new guys to H.A.M.B. and I'm looking forward to checking out this whole site.
To start off I am originally from Southern California but I now live in West Virginia. I graduated Artesia High School in Artesia, California in 1963 so I guess I'm an Old Guy!
I can't remember not liking cars but I can tell ya when I started loving Kustom Cars. That would have been in 1955 at Grove Ave. School in Paramount, Ca. when I got my hands on a 1/25 scale model '55 Ford Fairlane that my buddy's older brother pen stripped for me. The older brother had 3 full kustom '49-'51 Mercs and that started it all for me, anybody can do them stock! Every car or truck I've owned since has been personized one way or the other.
I'm a member of Silhouettes Kustoms & Hot Rods (a traditional car club) and I drive a 1963 Thunderbird, that's all for now. I try to make it to as many traditional type car runs/shows as I can each year.
I'm real happy the young people have embraced the Kustom/Hot Rod movement, I thought it was dead during the 70's but it's ALIVE!!
Thanks
