Is he a Gold Chainer now? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif Your '56 made it in an overhead crowd shot, in color, at a Kentucky show. No mistaking that striking paint combo you have.(Yeah, I still read SR, occasionally... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif)

Congrats Sam! I agree, your Chevy has one of the coolest paint schemes I've ever seen http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I wonder what he had to do to get that pic in SRM?
I guess my car wasn't in one place long enough to get
photographed? LOL
Congrats,

Oh, boy! Now, ol Butt will start bringing his crybaby doll to all the NSRA and Goodguys events with his billet lawn chair and chainsaw-engined billet, fold-up scooter. He may even grow a big ol' pot belly and a gray mullet while he wears his billet aluminum, wrap around ray-bans and bitches about the shitty parking spot he got!

i was stoked myself! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif, me and my daughter were killing time at barnes & noble a couple days ago so i could pic up the latest rodders journal while the ol lady was shopping,i saw the cover blurb about the NHRR and snatched it up,, the last thing i expected was to see that pic! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif ALSO ,there are a few more HAMBERS and lurkers in that pic too. from the left (my dads 54 chev, my chev, ANDYSDEUCE, lurker CHRIS's 32 plymoth sedan delivery,(hamber)Josh's 32 sedan...and to the FAR left is andysdeuce pop up tent that i broke.
on a side note,...fellas,this was a BADD ASS show to attend,it takes alot to get me excited, and this one was all that. you gotta put this show on your list to attend for 2004 ,... seriously

Hey Butt, who puts it on? A private show? Invitation only? I'd truly love to cruise to Kentucky one of these fine days to look around a leetle. I never been down there. Heard it's pretty.

that show ROCKED and Butt's wife was kind enough to let Mongo and i camp in the back yard. i was about to kill his neighbors dog with my bare hands though http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif.
VERY kickass show and yes Kentucky is a very beautiful state. the nastalgia dragster were a blast to watch run but nothin was as cool as watching The Winged Express do a full on run under the lights, WOW!!! the cackle fest gave me goose bumps, and probably damaged my hearing. the car show itself was PACKED with some very fine examples of nostalgia iron. WAY worth the trip, Mongo and i were VERY impressed.

Rocky, this was the first year for the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, KY. It was the best event I've been to all year(besides the HAMB Drags). They had a bigger turnout than they expected so I'm sure they will have it again next year. It's about four hours south of Indy so it would be a pretty good drive for you. It would be well worth the drive for you. If they send me some info on next years dates I'll let you know. It is a must go event for everyone on the HAMB board!! Especially guys into nostalgia drags and are'nt we all. We can all camp out in Butt's back yard and barbecue the neighbors dogs!!!! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
