what's wrong with the old one? did the heat tube break off? if i were you i'd go to the junkyard and look for a choke housing that's the same diameter and work from there.wish i could help more-george

Ya know a long time ago, when I put my 3 deuces on my Olds, I found that JC Whitney sold electric choke conversions for the old Rochester 2 bbl I was using. Maybe they sell a conversion for the old 4GC? Worth a look!
In any case, the old choke works well when functioning correctly. In fact, the electrics can be a pain in the ass, if you leave the key on, with engine off, it'll open the choke up, so it won't work right when it's cold.

had that problems once, just put in a throttle cable off the lawn mower so i could move the choke. Grass got tall as shit though....

Thanks for the info. I'll take a look into JC whitney see what they have in any event i might just make the choke stay open and forget about it i only drive it in warmer weather anyway... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif
