Floor Shifter

I have looked at the parts store and bought 1 but it wont work .

I've got one that I took off a 55 Chevy. I am pretty sure side cover is the same. The bolts for the tailshaft might be different but you should be able to fix that if neccessary. I will be at New B. swapmeet and you could look at it there. Would like $25

The swap meet is at the fairgrounds in New Braunsfels, Tex. on April 23-25. I will be in space 94. The shifter is for the old 3-sp standard trans. I offered it once to a guy who wanted an auto. Andy

sounds like what I need I have a 3 on the tree that I want to convert to the floor ..I have the stock trans so I guess it will work?

I will be surprised if it does, as a bolt on anyway. All the info I have says 49-54.

It's a 60's Hurst shifter. Missing diagonal brace. Can be made from flat stock easily.
