heres a pic of the 41 schoolbus..its almost done finally its been in the works for a few years,nothin fancy just a driver,,it now has the windows and lights all on it.it runs a 406 chevy with a400 turbo......the front clip is 1 ton dually IFS and the rear is also the dually opn motor home leafs, it has an aluminum dash panle with MOON guages and a tall lokar shifter with the opiston knob, ben thinkoin bout som flames on the fenders??.i dunno its not mine its my mom's!!.....we bought it from a guy in tennessee it wasa cobbled mess had a 472 caddy in it (yeah i know don't shoot me) I shoulda left it in there but hey......it was a fun ride back to IL it was all stock cept ofr the motor it would go like hell.but nOT straight and it wuld nOT stop.try that ikn the mountains!! we had a blast coming home my buddy and I drove it...we had an escort through most of IL from the Banditos M/C!!....that was cool......ERIK

My other racer this is what it used to look like..weighed a ton ,ran a bes tof 9,37 with the 540/lenco I know it ain't exactly old style but it iS flat black!!.. ERIK

one more before I get kicked off here ...this is the other 62,using the frame from hte first version of my bubbletop.....its just sitting on there for now.....i am thinkin of leavin the body as is and putting astroker 409 in it a driving the hell out of it.....pro street rat?....maybe a new trend?....well okay maybe not.ERIK

maybe make the 62 a repro of a super stock car from the early 60s?

thought of that.......also thought of putting a wide rear under it and making it a60's nascar look wide steel wheesl all around window straps etc....but thats more work than I need to do this way evcery thing I ever took off the old car goes right back on it.and I neve got rid of anything I took of it when i went to new things I threw the old shit in a corner....pack rat I guess.....I would really like to make it street legal and drive the snot out of it.I think it'd really be cool to drive in the track with it all ratty and click off some fast passes and drive it home.......am i wacked or what?? ERIK, not weird at all... in fact, i think thats what alot of us would like to do ... drive to the track, lite up a couple 11sec pass's w/o juice, then roll home..

a white color would be cool.... get rid of the tub..9-10 wide slicks, put in a 409 (might need to keep the cage?). maybe cheat and throw in a 6speed trans for some overdrive?

thought of that too...the cage would have to stay as its part of the chassis and the body is hung off of it.....dunno about white though there are two other 62's in town here and they are white.ERIK

There is an old SHORT BUS by my inlaws place in Diamond, MO! Its almost tempting to pickup now I know how niice they can turn out!
