Owners Cars Gallery

Maybe yall have this and I dont see it or I was thinking maybe that there could be someway that each owner could set up there own picture of there ride(s) in a gallery kind of format where you could click on the ride and then maybe it shows the owner profile, specs and maybe more pics you know? That away everyone can get some ideas and get advice from other members and so on. Just a thought.

There are two issues to deal with to impliment such a section.

Storage and bandwidth. Both cost lots of money.

I'm not saying it can't/won't happen. That's not my call.

Something those who are interested in posting pics of their cars can do that will cut down on storage and bandwidth is this...

Sign up for a free storage account that allows linking. I use www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) . Then upload your photos to your new, free photo site.

Then copy the URL (in your Address bar "http://www (http://www)........") of your storage site account. mine happens to look like this...

Then you can go to your User Control Panel and edit your signature.

In the edit box, you can type whatever you want about your car.

Let's say I type "My 59 Elky"

Then I highlight the "My 59 Elky" I just typed and hit the hyperlink button. (the little earth with the chainlink right above) In the pop-up box you would then paste the URL of your photo site and hit "OK" then save your signature.

You now have something like My 59 Elky (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v166/Rashy1/HelCamino/) in your signature line and when people click on it, they can see the pics of your car/s. Remember you can name the photos in your site to tell the story.


It works the same way as the Alliance link I put in my sig line only it will take people to your pics.

Things to remember... Links to nudity will be removed. links to unrelated items may be removed.

catagorize owners cars into different makes. example: Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Orphan, etc, and sort by year.

and maybe a way to pull up the member list by states or regions??

like a database that could be searched by different criteria?

maybe thats already doable and I just haven't found it or figured it out yet??

can you search the member list by state? car make? model years? etc.??

I think it would be a pretty cool idea to see everyones cars but it could also serve as a directory for thieves, that would suck, so we do have to be a little carefull.
