Not that all y'all would have missed me, but it appears I'm taking an alternate course in the next build - I'm gonna have a flathead-powered car...just one with a wee bit more metal around it than inna HA/GR. It's still a vintage style racecar, and I'm pretty sure it would give one of these rails a good run for the money - if they'd allow it!
If you're interested and have access to the HAMB calendar, she's featured as Miss February. I'm going tomorrow to seal the deal.
Wish me luck - I'm excited!

Back in Time at Suhr's - and Miss Feb is MINE! (http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=143748)
It's built to be a racecar - but prolly won't meet any current regs that I'm familiar with. This way, I can convert passengers to flatmotor religion.

That thing would fit right in at the HAMB Drags.

Well...
I suppose if I pulled the windshield, added a 4 point cage and went with a Motor City Speed block (is that legal? it's a flattie, but cast in 2006) I could get that pig to run low 13's...

ya, you could deffinately make low 13's with a bit of work... although, i wouldnt say a Motor City block is needed :)
this car is deffinately purpose built, and your ride is from a different era... but cool nonetheless, speed transcends time... inspiration for you perhaps?:

I'm gonna run the motor it's got - a late flatty truck motor .040 over - to start. Once all the niggling chassis/electrical stuff is sorted out, I'll work on makin' it go fast.
