Unidentified Flying Flatheads

I guess I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to Flatheads 'cause I saw what I figured to be a "way rare" pair of heads on a '33 coupe last summer. They were extra thick and had three water outlets. The owner seemed to think they were the best and said it never-ever overheats. What were those heads anyway? Is any one out there familar with them?
