My name is Jay Bell. I heard about this site while chewing the fat with one of your members at an old junk yard. I love building old school rods. I am starting a rod shop in roanoke, VA and I need all the contacts I can get. In my area there is not alot of rodders that like the fenderless, hoodless and topless rods.
My primary ride is a 30 Model A Roadster Pickup. I also have a 27 Model T Roadster. I don't believe in having just one carb. I also have a 76 Ford Courier that I land speed race. The fastest pass @ the ECTA meet in the truck was 192 mph.
Sorry for posting an add before I introduced myself. I didn't mean any disrespect.

Jay, just moved from Southwest county back in the winter to Alabama. I sure miss the mountains. The rat rad and old skool movement is not that popular here in the South yet either. A couple of my buds and I are working on that though. You gotta admit though, it is fun getting all the attention away from those $100k cars at the car shows. Let me know where your shop is so I can stop in next time we visit that area.

Yep, That's my truck. I think you took theses picktures just before we put a rod thru the block.
Do you run at the monster mile?

Those were taken at the October '05 meet.
No, I don't run. I'm just a spectator.
Although I did get to do a ride-along on the rookie orientation at the last meet. :)

Since I'm so close (Richmond), I'd like to get down there as a spectator sometime. When do the ECTA events take place?

That small block ran 192mph. Next year we are going to a big block and if all goes well we will get a green hat. The big 200.
