Retired professor, aircraft mechanic, motorcycle racer. Learned to drive in a 29 Ford PU, drove an Allard in early 1950s, lusted after 1950s style 32 roadsters.

Finished flying a year and a half ago. Just finished building my own 32 roadster from my memory of the 50s style. Put Caddy valve covers on the SBC to remind me of the Allard engine. Painted it 1929 Ford Balsam Green acrylic lacquer. Discovered that building a car from what is in your head is not only technically educational, but emotionally so as well.

Dave,

Welcome to the HAMB you'll find it very interesting here! Post some pictures of your roadster sometime. After a 100 posts you'll lose the FNG tag by your name. I love hot rods, these days I drive customs more leg room, more butt room. It's like the old days the custom guys get all the ladies.
