Hey all,

I'm a new member to this board and thought I would introduce myself. I've been a member at Garage Journal for about 8-9 months and usually lurk over there so I thought I might lurk here, too.

Here's a little about myself:
I'm a 38 year old stay at home dad. I've got 2 kids (5 and 3) and work part-time doing AutoCAD and handyman type work.

Here's a little about my car:
It's a 1969 Ford Fairlane Cobra. It has a 428CJ, C-6 tranny and is red with a black interior. I've owned the car for 13 years and enjoy taking the kids to cruise-ins and car shows with it.

Here's a little about my garage:
It's a 24'x28' garage with storage trusses. It's heated and insulated so it's a great place to go after a long day with the kids. I did most of the work myself (and some help!).

Hey Shawn,
I'm familiar with Ham Lake. Some friends live just north of 14 on Radisson Road.

How long have you stayed home? I've been doing it 5 1/2 years now.

Have you heard of MDAH (Minnesota Dads At Home). It's a great resource for guys like you and me. Check out their website at www.mdah.org (http://www.mdah.org).

I hope to get more time to spend here. It looks like a cool place!

I'm just west of Raddison, and South of Bunker Lake Rd.
I haven't heard of that group. I got let go from my job in April, and have been home since. It was actually a blessing in disguise, as we had been having daycare troubles. I'm fortunate that my wife has a good income, so we are doing this for the time being. I'm going back eventually, just for now, it's best for our kids.

welcome to da HAMB. . . kids are a blessing that many overlook. you're a lucky man to have em, and even more so that you get to stay at home with them as well.

you need to get rid of that late model Ford you got there tho... the mill could be shoehorned into something cool :D
