So, a couple of months ago one of my agents in Chicago picks up a 41 Plymouth 2 door sedan for one of his other clients, and offers it to me for $300 or $400. Understand that this guy is mostly into newer camaros & shit, so he could care less about this car.

I tell him yes, a month goes by, and I score a good deal on a 57 Ford & haven't really had time to talk to him about the Plymouth. So I kind of let it fall to the side because I've been distracted with the Ford.

So the dude calls me today and asks me if I still want the Plymouth. I say yes, and then I go into excuse mode: "Yeah, sorry I've been busy, blah, blah, blah, I've been meaning to call you, yadda, yadda, yadda", and he says to me "don't worry about it, I called the finance company today and told them no one was interested in the damned thing so I'm going to scrap it, so if you want it, you can have it for FREE!!!"

God, I really love that word.

Noodles moving in with me? What happened Tim, did you guys break up or something? Don't worry, I never date my friend's ex's, and seeing that you & I are friends, that pretty much precludes Noodles moving in with me.

Basically the car is disassembled, but it's all there & the body is very straight. I'm pretty stoked.

Now I need to call Ray (ironhunter) & see if I can talk him into picking it up for me (like that's gonna be difficult or something, he'll probably be more excited about it than I am).

Looks like I have an excuse to get drunk & celebrate tonight (it'll be nice to have an actual reason for a change).
