I might as well go ahead and start spamming for my upcoming show.

Here is the flyer I created for it.

The piece that the flyer is based on is called "Super Bird" It was painted with acrylics on stretched canvas. 16" X 20".

It will be part of the show. I've got a bunch of other pieces to show.....but I'll wait till the show is rolling before letting the cat out of the bag.

Revenge.....Saw it on the motorway once.....it went past me at around 140. Nick used the car like he stole it and he could because he built it, including the body (which he designed, built a small model, built a full size mock up, took a mould and finally laid up the finished article) and this was the late 1970s, in England where most rod parts either had to be bought from the US (remember the interweb wasn't invented and most people didn't have/take crediot cards...it was called "post letter" and "international money order" back then) Or fabricate the stuff yer self....Nick fabricated and also used a bunch of track racer stuff such as torsion bar front (yep on a tube axle) and a mix of Jag, McLaren and fabricated for the rear.
Nick was slagged by some for the way he used the car and the scabby chrome and chipped paint just added to the slagging. Fuck that it was his car he can do what he liked! It dissapeared for a while and is now in Spain waiting for a resto.....if you liked that you should have seen his next car Andromeda, almost redone after an accident with a deer and a Vauxhall astra. Adromeda's (re)builder Edd has told me I get a drive (that will be on one of our DVDs!)....it's a blown Hemi in a T bucket..all fabbed (hence why the resto has taken so long) and has anything from 500-800bhp (legend has it it's over 1000) so i can't wait......

.......killer pic Tim

Okay, so this is the first time I participate in HAMB;s Friday art-show, ever. I got introduced to this forum by my good friend Janne Kutja who shouldn’t be a stranger for those of you who check out this area on a regular basis. I´m mostly into acrylics, pinstriping and airbrushing- almost anything that´ll come in my way... And there surely will be more to come. Hope you enjoy.

The painting is called Strange shores and is made with acrylics on canvas.
The second one should just fit perfectly into the halloween theme...

Yes, the were done exactly one week after my first shoot, and thanks! There's a lot of trial and error going on at the moment, but I think I'm getting very close to that magic combination. I don't know if I can include this contribution to this awesome thread?

I wrote this down the morning after Mike and I got that chicken poop roadster running...

The roadster we awoke
Popped and banged and smoked
Wheezing and chugging
The webs of neglect
Brushed from it's metal visage.

MAN!!!

What a show. I can't wait to get home and finish up my pen/ink....

LOWCAB,
When using your oil pastels you should get a little cup of thinner and play with using it for some of your expressionistic stylizations.

I mean you have it down cold with paint - and oil pastels are some of my favorite to play with.

I did this one (shown on another art post about a year ago) with oil pastels and I used my fingers for blending. Then I showed my art instructor and he suggested the thinner.

I tried it on another painting and had a lot of fun that way. It was surprizingly versatile....

....can't wait to scan my art in so I can add it to this terrific thread!!!

Thanks so much for the tips, I can use them all. Like I said it was my first shot at oil pastels and I am excited about using them in the future.
Thanks for all the compliments guys on the artwork.
This ones a watercolor. It shows a little smaller than actual size.

This is a trophy I made for best traditional car at our 13th show. It was the 13th one so I made it with an unlucky theme. It has aces and eights, black cat, #13, black widow etc...

I live in Austin now.....but your trophy still has a prominent display location!
