Howdy to all, I've been lurking on this site for a while now. Decided it was time to introduce myself.
My name is Kenny Washburn. I live in Midland, TX. (If there is anybody on here that is from this area, let me know). I'm a Union Elevator Mechanic and enjoy my job. I started out on the Jockey Journal and eventually drifted over here.
I'm surrounded by a small arsenal of LS1's, Mod Motors, and $25,000 dragsters. I need a break from it all. So seriously, if anybody is in this area, save a poor bastard from this mess.
I've been into hotrods for as long as I remember. I never had anybody in my family that was interested, so it's been a learning process. I'm still learning.....I have had a handful of cars and trucks, nothing older than 1964.
I was a diesel mechanic for 5 years before I got into elevators. So I know my way around the tool box and the car. I've also been welding for a long damn time. My old man was a pipeline welder for a while.
Anyway, I feel like I'm bragging now......I'll have a lot of question for you guys, as far as frame and body modifications..... I've read build sheets and thought, "why the f#ck did they do that?" then I look at the pic and understand.
Anyway, thanks for reading this and I hope to talk to ya'll soon.
Kenny
