Going through some dramatic life changes (no, I didn't start getting my period), so I'm getting rid of all my old car stuff and this is first on the list.

1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door sedan
283/cast iron powerglide
Runs, moves, and stops on it's own (doesn't stop very well though).
Engine runs pretty good, think it's out of a 62 Chevy. It needs a tune up from sitting since the late 80's. Has a 4bbl q-jet carb & later intake on it, and tube headers so it's loud as hell. Has a new optima battery in it now, not the boat battery the previous owner had in it in the picture.

THe transmission needs either a new torque converter, or the bolt holes in the old one tapped out to a larger size, some asshat stripped one of them completely out so the fly wheel get loose and makes a irritating sound after a bit. I tightened it back up and got it to stop for now, but it will pick back up again. Best bet would probaly be to trash the cast iron glide and put in something lighter & newer.
Body is pretty solid, lots of surface rust as you can see from the pictures, but the rust through isn't too bad. Just the normal areas on these cars like the headlight eyebrows, front fender bottoms, and the drivers side rocker. The passenger quarter needs a little work from when it was replaced sometime back in the day, but it's a easy fix. The bottom of the rear passener door needs rust repair, all other doors seem to be in good shape. Everything that is rusted through would be easily fixed with readily available patch panels or a with a lil fab skills.

Interior is the best part, only thing that really needs replacing is the package tray.
If anyone is serious about it pm me and I'll give you my number. I know I could sell this locally, but I'd rather see it go to someone who would do something cool with it than for it to get restared back to it's former boring glory.....
Hers the last pic I took of it after I put it in the shop, all I've done to it since I got it is check out the flywheel/torque converter issue, cleaned the interior up some, and started stripping some of the old paint off around the back end.
