Hello guys ( n gals?)
I’m gonna try this again. Last night I type up a bunch of babble only lost it all when I went to post it .
My name is Gary , I’m 53 as of July. I live here in the state of Connecticut USA
I build plastic model hot rods and while doing a search for Steve Scott’s Uncertain T , I happen into this site.
I don’t have lots of money or the know how to really build the real thing . Even if I did, most of what can be found around here is total rotted out junk. Any thing in good enough shape to build from cost thousands of dollars just to start with. I’m interested in mostly 20-30’s kind of cars.
I had built a couple of chopper in the pass ( 70’s) but in this state it has gotten tougher to get any thing home built on the road. It would be good to here from anyone from this state on how they get-er done.
My wife’s uncle had a already built T bucket that he bought years ago, but was never able to get it on the road legally
Any way ,It’s you kind a guy’s that give me ideas and inspirations into what I do for my custom built hot rod models. If ya like you can check out some of my builds at this web site

There’s a few pages to look at and if you click on the pic.then scow down I’ve written down some thing about each one. Enjoy
Any way I finally got a hold of a model of the Uncertain T from Ebay . I was looking into it on Goggle search when I came upon this site.
What a same the car and Steve have disappeared . Over the years I have read or hear stories about them.
Draft dodging being one, but back in the 70’s under president Ford’s amnesty program for dodger’s and anyone AWOL from any military services had their chance to come back. I know this cuz I was AWOL from the Army at that time . You either got out or if ya stayed in had to make up the lost time . Not sure bout the dodges, I think they just had to process out. But still a lot of them still didn’t trust your government to do so. So Steve is probably still on the lamb, or has done well for him self ,so why leave a good thing?
As for the car I have heard or read many stories that the original had burned in a garage fire. Steve did make some other car bodies and just the bodies from his original molds and blanks. All in fiberglass. But the life span for stuff like that isn’t for ever I know , so he must have given up or they too were lost in the fire.
So OK I’ve babbled long enough here now . Would like to here from you guys especially from Connecticut .
