My name is Steve Haga. I got out of high school in 65. So if you care you can figure out how old I am. I don't feel that old any way. I live in northern California in Petaluma.

I think, I've include a couple of pictures. Looking at what I've written it looks like I got carried away.

My hot rod now is a 29 Tudor Sudan. I brought it from a guy that was building it a modren smoovie. He even had rectangular head lits for it. I brough it home on a trailer in many boxes.

It was a good deal, every thing was there on a rolling chassis. The chassis was a TCI not real old school but a great frame. The super bell dropped frount end is a little too low. It's a four inch drop so the fenders rub a little.

The read end is a ford 9 inch with coilovers. I got it on the road in about 6 months. It was kinda fun driving it with the sun roof, before I had the top covered.

The only work I didn't do my self was put the frame and engine together and the top and interior. Using one of the wiring kits made the wiring easy enough even I could do it.

Like most of us I could kick my self for getting rid of one of my past rides. I had for a few years a great 34 Dodge pickup. Chevy 350/350. It was a great driver.

My wife's car is a 69 Camaro. She loves that damn car, but she doesn't take care of it. The only time it get washed is when I can't stand looking at the dirt any more. The car's been painted 3 or four times. One time we had the whole color changed and a new interior put in it. I think we've owned it for over 20 years.

I've owned several other fun cars. I brought a 29 ford pickup once. I had it for 15 years I think. It was a sudan body cut down for a pickup body. It had a datsun 1400 cc motor and a datsun 510 rear end. The front end was a pinto. I think I took it to the Goodguys West cost Nationals 8 times. It was just a fun car. I looked okay and drove okay, but it was no hot rod. Not even a warm stick.

I like just about any style of hot rod. One day I think I'd like to have 49 to 51 Merc. I don't want a lead sled just a nice Merc.

My tudor isn't finished yet. It has fiberglass fenders. I have a whole set of steel fenders for it I just haven't gotten around to putting them on the car. It's in white primer and most likly will stay that way. I think I'm going to flame it. I might as well practice on the glass fenders anyway.

The tudor has chevy 327 block with 302 heads. I think the guy I got it from when with the 302 heads for hard seals. I've been thinking about putting 327 heads back on it and maybe getting rid of the 3 duce setup that's on it. I think the engine is too stock for that much carbs. It goes great until you floor it then it just blubbers.

The dodge truck with the 350 had a four barrel and it worked very nicely. I guess another option would be to change the gearing for the rear end, it's geared more for long distance then quickness.
