Man I am trying to sell my house and the freaking oven quit working. The stove part works and the broiler works but no gas to the oven. Thermocouple? It has the digital controls...that's what worries me. I need to fix it cause I don't want to buy someone else a brand new oven right before I move. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Isn't the Broiler the same thing that heats the Oven on yours? Mine is. If it works one way, but not the other it shouldn't be the thermocouple. The Burner wouldn't come on either way if the thermocouple was bad, thats what controls the flow from the regulator. Thats what keeps your house from filling with gas if the pilot goes out.
Maybe its the actual temperature control. The broiler still works because it runs wide open instead of at a set temperature.

The broiler is on top of the oven, it has a seperate burner.
There is no pilot light. It has the electric igniter. The thermocouple keeps the burner from putting out gas. Mine has no gas to the lower burner. That's why I was wondering if it was the thermocoupler. It has gas everywhere else. So it's not the gas valve.......who knows. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Not sure about your stuff over there but that problem would be caused by a flame failure device, at least thats what they call it over here!
hope that helps.

if you can see ignitor check to see that it has a bright aronge red glow. if it doesn't glow or is a dullish orange it won't draw enough amps to open the safety valve. compare it to the broiler ignitor.
if it doesn't glow at all or it doesn't get really bright replace it. unplug the range and it's only a 2 wire hookup.
any other help needed call me at 602 524 9308. my cell number.

Jerry, absolutely nothing happens...no gas smell, no glow, nothing... maybe the igniter? I have the model number and serial number if that helps.

Here's what I found so far.....
Model Manufacturer: General Electric
Model Number: JGBP34GEP2
Name: IGNITER BURNER BAKE
Description:
Part Number: WB13K0004
Part Type: OEM NEW
I'll have to verify this is the right part.

if you have no glow it is 99 out of 100 times the ignitor that is open. you can check it with a multimeter for continuity. it's most likely open.
the number that you have for the part is the correct one. the ignitor controls a safety valve so you won't have any gas smell since there is no flow until the ignitor opens the valve.
2 screws and 2 wires are about all there is to it.
