I am a new HAMBer. I am 24 yrs old and live in southern MN. I presently am building a '33 Ford 5w that is chopped 3 inches, has a 327, TH350, 8 in rear. This is the first rod that I have built. I have had alot of help from my dad and a family friend, Greg. I have included a picture of the completed chassis and now I am presently doing bodywork to the body. I have built many cars with my dad, but it was time for me to build my own and I love working on them. I am a marine mechanical engineer for my job, so I have always been a hands-on type of guy. I look forward to chatting with in the message board with ya all.

Welcome. Looks like you have a pretty good start on your ride. If they give you shit about the SBC, just tell 'em to fuck off.... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gifhttp://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The car looks great but is the carpet really necessary?

When ya are laying under the frame or putting painted parts together, it is real nice to have the carpet, it might look cheesy, but do ya like laying on cold concrete and putting parts together? Not me.
