View Full Version : 26 Modified in our shop w/40 Dash
Here is a little mod that belongs to a pal o mine. We replaced the bottom of this one Going to be flatty powered and all FOMOCO.
And the best part, the 40 dash!
He bought MACKS patch panels, save your money, they are too flat. The sill plates however were very nice. Dont feel bad that he cut up a nice touring, I got the rear doors off it for mine http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Evidently, he couldn't afford a 50 dash, hmmmm? Hey, ever seen one of these?
All seriousness aside, that looks killer.
I spent some time behind that dash! As Gene was tacking the 40 in, all I could think about was the 50 dashh in the 33. Tim has a really nice guage cluster he is going to run. It is kinda funny, his touring and mine came from the same ranch out in the sticks. I first met him as I sold him a bike. Talk turned to cars and he mentioned this second touring!
I will post some pics later when he starts putting it together, he has a nice flatty and a Plymouth double dip tube axle.

Stop! Your scratching the paint.
Does he plan to run the stock seat riser?? I find you sit way to high if you don't cut them down IMHO.
Seat riser needs to be cut down after the dash install!
