Trying to figure out a trim problem, and will probably, like usual, end up doing it the hard, slow way.It would help if I could find/modify some 3 sided steel bar, anywhere from 1" a side up to 1 1/2" a side.Don't think I've ever seen this, but what do I know?Is this available anywhere? Might even be able to use stainless, then I wouldn't have to chrome it.Anybody know? Don't really want to grind down a square piece into a triangle, since I need a couple of long pieces. Thanks

Check ornamental iron suppliers... ive bought 3 sided hot roll solid bar from on locally (So Cal), before... they MIGHT have some tube, which is probably what you're looking for at 1" a side.
The stuff i got was 1/2" per side...

Thanks for the tip.Nobody I called today had a clue, including a steel supply place that's been around for about 60 years.Actually looking for solid instead of tubing, but local and internet searches haven't turned up anything http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Angle won't work, gotta put some curves in it,and shape the triangle a little, thanks for the idea, though.Need solid.Guess I could make 2 24" sections out of square with my grinder, but I'd rather take a bullet.Car is gonna take the rest of my life as it is http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I found some kinda triangular shaped tube at Tractor Supply.
It was pretty heavy wall, looked like a tractor part or something.
I saw it in the store, but have a look at their web site.

I was given a short piece a while ago, it was about 3/4" on two sides with a cross section of a rite triangle, so I know you can get it.. it was used in semi permanent concrete form-work at Utility Vault as chamfer in the form corners.
just a matter of where to get it?
I did a quick search and found this; metal bar shapes (http://www.menamstainless.com/steelbar.html)
Other shapes in Stainless Steel Also Available:
Hexagon
Squares
Triangle
Half Rounds
Flat
Customer Shape
maybe a call to them (or someone like them) and they could steer you in the right direction.
or find a fab shop with a track mounted flame cutter and have them slice a piece off a corner of some heavy bar stock.
