it`s nearly friday over here and i dont remember ever starting an art show...so....
been messing around with the digital art thing over the last week or so...pretty certain i aint doing it the correct way....these two pieces are done totally freehand using the mouse.......mask tool..paintbrush and airbrush ...like i said it`s probably not the correct way but they turned out kinda ok
http://www.muchos.co.uk/members/surfmonkey/32coop1.jpg

the second one is a rendition of the brizio rpu that was featured in a past edition of rodders journal

I worked up this tribute to my favorite HAMB Rod...took one of the photos I shot of it last summer and reworked it a bit using a couple different programs to get the effect.

I thought of building a copy one day, but it'd never be right, there's only ever gonna be ONE 'El Blanco'!

Well, most of you schleps probably saw these on my Round-up thread, but I thought that I'd post them here also...
I took several, but these were my favorites.
First version is done in an early 60's technicolor postcard style...

damn, it's only thursday afternoon here, but i'll contribute. here is the grill insert i gave s sneak peak of a few weeks back. i finaly did some grinding on it and it is lookin good. i will straighten the couple dents in the shell when i get a minute then paint it some glossy color (maybe) and have one of my good HAMB buddies stripe it for me. gonna paint the insert silver and i have a neat idea for mounting the insert into the shell (the 1/4-20 bolts are temporary).

Johnny and Barnett, you guys rock.....(of course!)

Some thoughts on the photography:
You fellas already know this of course, but I was just meditating on how IMPORTANT your work is. You guys are recording the current era for all future generations to enjoy. Thats pretty impressive!

I know this revelation is elementary, but I think looking at your all's work in that light REALLY enhances the experience for me. I mean AWSOME photographs come across this screen EVERY Friday and I haven't really commented on them much, but I just wanted to let you all know how important your work is. Not to mention, beautiful, stirring, and SWEEEET.

Keep up the great work!!!!

JohnnyAce - aint that the truth though. I wish I would have thought ahead myself and kept stuff, ie - all my old skateboards.. Shit I owned a skate shop at age 16 in El Paso, and didnt keep a thing to remember it by. Except a pic of a certain Zorlac rider taking a bong load in my cousins living room after a demo. But I would have a collection of old skate decks had I kept them to fill every wall in my house. Well back on topic - very cool doctered up to look old pics. I love that..

HankCash, I DID break down on one of those roads! The real desolate one was the road that wound through the Joshua Tree Natl Forest. I locked my keys in the car. After a brief panic I remembered I had spares in my pocket! Then the brakes seized up in Phoenix... but I knew someone in town. It took them 2 days to find and install the new MC. Then the battery died in Albuquerque... where I knew someone. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I think I used up all my good luck when I was younger!
and Yes, I did stay in the Wigwam Motel. That place was awesome! I called ahaed and told them when I would get there. They said "oh, we'll be gone by then, but we'll leave a key for you under the mat"! Great people!

Ummm, Ron...that piece seems a little "lacking" to me. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif call me if you need help getting it posted.

Let's see if I can post this pic for Nailhead60. It's a tank for a mini chopper, I believe. Some mighty fine One-Shot action!

Unkl...Ron is the only DEADBEAT artist-type that wasn't in Detroit for the AutoRama...he had previous commitments with his daughter for that weekend. He needs to post his work here more often!

If he's not going to MCPhail's gig in June, with the rest of the Deadbeats, send him to Billetproof.

He's lives in Kansas...he'll be at McPhails! Not all of the Detroit DEADBEATS will be leaving the state...but probably all of the One-Shot guys. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif I wish it wasn't on the same weekend, but I told Dennis, months ago, that I would go to Kansas this year. Too much to do, too little time! Ron will be up there for the Broken Dream Kruise, though!

I'm not to good on drawing so I'm posting a pic my 5 year old drew at the Roundup after meeting Von Franco.

I did'nt even see him draw it. Its got all the elements. Crazy hair, tounge out,big shifter, wheels off the ground.
