Does anyone know a good place in the Houston/Woodlands area where I can get my generator rebuilt? It just went out.

Check the phonebook under "generator" or "starter" or "Alternator". A lot of places still rebuild these. I found a pretty good list @ dexonline.com (http://dexonline.com/servlet/ActionServlet?pid=bfull&last10Saved=false&resultFo rm=BASIC&queryText=generator&previousQueryText=gen erator&previousQueryType=MAIN&queryType=HEADINGDD& locationVerified=true&state=TX&cityText=Houston&su rroundingAreas=true&metroID=93360&headingID=7695)

Unless you burnt the armeture or fields (not likely) just go to NAPA and buy some brushes and bushings for it. Save yourself a buck and learn a new trade in the process.
OH bring the bugger with you so they can figure it out.

Drive on you might try tractor places. Most of the time they will rebuild. I'm sure someone in our area does it.

Thanks for the info. I think I'm going to order the parts and do it myself. I can't screw it up to bad.
