With around 18,000 members here I wonder if it is nearly time for a section devoted to each State. I have seen it done successfully in other places and it serves primarily to allow questions and comments that are specific to an area to be seen by those that it pertains to and helps to speed up the flow of local information.
One of the large benefits is that a poster may ask a specific question of his local guys and the thread is buried pages down in the general forum before anyone has a chance to read it.
No one else is excluded from participating of course and it keeps the general forum free from some of the clutter. What do yo think?

Silly, silly boy...(we need a smilie that shakes his head). You think 50 seperate sections would be a good thing??
I post regional specific stuff all the time and the Michigan guys don't seem to have any trouble finding it. PLUS, I sure like reading about everything and anything going on in the other states without having to head directly to some other section.
To answer your question, no it's not time for that....but of course I don't own or moderate the site, just giving ya my opinion.;)

Thanks for your reply and your opinion as it is with discussion that we find answers. I should probably have been a little more specific with my thoughts, I am not suggesting that everyone should only/mainly post in their regional area because, as you say, there is much to be gained by all of us if we participate in general discussion and that area would still be the main focus. I have found though that as active as this board is becoming, posts are driven many pages back in no time and likely lost to those of us that don't spend the time to go back that far each time we log in.
As an example, this is a link to the regional areas of one of my favorite hangouts...

Perhaps as this place grows in membership it may become a viable idea.
