where's the best place to get lake pipes?

Jeff, if you buy a set from Hot Rod & Custom Supply, you'll have them the next day. I would imagine that, quality wise, most of the ones out there are made at the same place, and just distributed to all the retail outlets.

the finish quality is pretty low on the ones the sell now. make shure you wax them up real good because living in FL them things are gonna rust like a motherfucker. especially if are going to actually hook them up to the exhaust...

In my opinion, nether one of those cars has long enough pipes.
They should start right under the end of the front wheel opening and end right at the front of the rear wheel opening, (carefully located so that the skirt can be removed without first removing the the pipe of course.)
The Ford's pipe needs to be about a foot longer.

Hey Dr J, when you and I were a wee bit younger you could buy pipes for specific cars. These days you are limited to a few generic lengths unless you are rich enough for a custom set.
I dont give a rats ass about someone elses idea of what the HAMB PC Police term "looks"; the only person I need to please is Numero Uno.

Anyway it looks like I wont be buying any for awhile now. Broke my leg in 2 places yesterday. Right now Im a doped up grouch which is a huge step above just being a regular grouch. Just ask my wife!
