My little mail icon won't go "off". It's been flashing or on solid for the last couple of weeks. I don't have any new messages, and I've deleted most of the ones I have.

Not a rush, but some advice on making it go away is appreciated.

That is funny, mine won't blink. If not for my email notifications I wouldn't know I had any new messages.

Just as a suggestion... try flushing your internet cache. May make it go away.

If you use IE press the key 'F5' ...

I forgot to mention to minimize this behaviour across all sites you visit ....

IE menu:
Tools->Internet Options->General->Temporary Internet Files->Settings->Check for newer versions of stored pages->Every visit to the page

This will refresh (F5) the page more often by default.
