Anyone ever use a converted ac compressor to run they'r air bags? If so how do you convert one to pump air instead of freon and what kinda oil do you use in it? I saw a setup along time ago in a wrecking yard on a forklift but they used the compressor for running air tools but I don't remember how they had it hooked up.

Check out a York. They work great, their a little big but damn they work great. The York has a built in sump for its own oil. You dont want oil in your bags this is bad..Like I say Search York compressors youll find it. Theirs really not much to convert. I dont know but ive been told that its the only one to use..Hope this helps.

york's stand upright - sanden-type are cylinder shape.

check layitlow.com and search "york". there are certain models that work best and a minor modification to keep them lubricated.
