Vega box adjustment

What is the correct method to tighten a vega box. Mine has some slop and I want to see if it will adjust out. Also, how do you lube the box, remove the top cover?

First check to see if the shaft end play is off. Just try to move the steering shaft in or out. Should be rock steady. If off, loosen jam nut and screw end in untill shaft is steady. Turn the shaft untill it is in the midpoint in its travel. About 2 1/2 turns from end.Then loosen small jam nut on cover and screw adjuster in. You should end up with a slightly stiff point in the middle of the steering shaft travel.You should always set up the steering so the box is in this position when going straight ahead. If you can't achieve the tight spot in the middle, the box is worn out! ( Can't wait for the comments on this!)
