As some of ya'll heard before, I am in the process of trying to buy a new housewith an acre of land. This will allow me to build a new shop. This house will probably be the last one we buy, so I want the shop to be really cool.
I have several ideas for the office area but would like to hear and see what you have done to spruce up the shop. Fire away.

BTW, I plan on making the office a showcase for hotrod artifacts and art from guys on the board. Someplace to collect all my good "junk".

I don't know what kind of area you're moving into but I always thought a reproduction of an early-century barn made from modern materials but sheathed with old wood would look perfect on an old farm where the outbuildings are gone. In a city I'd go with either that Depression-era industrial feel (but well insulated) or a residential-style brick garage in the 1920s style. I wish I had a digital camera, I'd post pictures of what I'm talking about as we have excellent examples of all three locally.

Well, I am technically zoned rural but everything is moving quickly out that way. It will be seen from a major road so I want it to look different but not freakish. I was planning on the gas station frontage but the building will be a steel building so I am trying to figure out how to dress it up without having to brick it.
Coolest thing In my shop was this car.

By the way, Root, if you look carefully to the left of Big Olds, the golf bag, and under the carboard pile, you will see an old familiar frame.

Where the Olds is sitting, there is now a four leg lift.

Another crowded corner.
