...not cars with inlines, but just the motors. Preferably a bit "dressed up"...you know...multi carbs, zoomie, chrome, etc. I want to do a shirt design and need a good, clean, copyright-free pic to use/modify. If I use your pic, I'll send you a shirt with the final design.

Thanks,
Dan

Here is a nice restoration job....
I took these pics last summer at a local car show. It really impressed me. I took the pics then forgot about them. Months later after buying a similar truck.....I found the pics. Fate???

Not what you were asking for, but I think its neat to look at anyways.
Maybe it will help....maybe not.....
but here is the pic anyways. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks guys...keep 'em coming! Anyone have any old black and white adds featuring inline 6's? Maybe from a now-de-funct (sp?) business?

Sandman...I'll be stoked to put mine on the road! I've never had much luck with motors that looked nice. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif The more energy I put into an engine's appearance, the worse it runs. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I might try to make my 235 look nice...but if it starts giving me problems I'm pouring brake fluid all over the painted stuff and removing any and all chrome. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's just a shirt for us inline dorks. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif "No Crime Runnin' An Inline". As soon as I get it all put together, I'll post some spam here and Ryan will get a couple of buck per shirt. Actually, I don't even have an engine preference...I just like to see people use DIFFERENT motors. I'll be runnin a 235 in the jalopy, at least for a while, because the price was right...free. If I could come up with the $$ to buy my old '60 Pontiac 389 back, that would be my motor of choice. The van has a little 170 that runs strong as hell, but if it ever gets tired I'm tempted to find a small block Ford to drop in.

Jethro...that angle is pretty good...do you have a shot of it where it's not cropped on the top? If you do, just email it to me as a .jpg... danbabs@satx.rr.com Nice lookin motor, by the way!

Didn't mean to turn this particular thread into a spam thread....sorry. I'll move all the info to the classifieds after I get a little feedback. Thanks for the help and feedback, everyone!

The four exhaust pipes could be confusing. Are we talking 6 or 4? A 6 into 2 would be cool. I have so many image sif these, I'll have ot send them to you form home though. ALso check fordsix.com, they can hook you up with images tubo charged, Australian head, US block combinations that are absoluetly beautiful.

I'm (meaning my brother-in-law, the computer guy... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif ) in the process of changing the lettering to an oval format as suggested by Whizzerick. Should have shirts and posters and maybe stickers being printed by next week! Might go with a dark green print, instead, though. I like green...even before one of the locals proclaimed his complete disgust for it on vehicles. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I haven't sold the van yet, but I've been trying. I think it's going up on eBay soon. I just can keep everything.

I still have the '61 Futura and just about have enough pieces to start mocking together my '32 truck. I haven't shown any pictures here yet, but i will soon. I've actually been spending most of my time astride the 'ol Noteboom chopper.

I think you should illustrate a fantasy 6-cyl engine, perhaps with a little creative tweaking so that it's not a Chevy, not a Ford, etc, so that everyone can own a shirt a not get hung up on the details.

Put me down for one XL at least, two if you make them on a something other than grey fleck. How about good ol white or black instead. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif maroon logo sounds cool. oh and I like your original design better without the oval!

I don't have any details on this. I took it at the SoCal Speed Shop in Phoenix a year ago. It was in a '59(?) Ford pick-up. It had some of the sweetest sounding pipes I ever heard. It left such an impression on me that I'm considering a six for my next project.
