From the frame up, it's all his work with very little assistance. You can't wipe the grin off his face. He's not on the HAMB, but I wanted to share anyway.

The whole build is photodocumented here (http://liberalredneck.org/gallery/Brians23) .

Might I inquire as to why he is not on the HAMB? By the looks of that car he should be hanging out here.

He doesn't do computers.

I'm proud to say that I'll be in a convoy to Vegas
with his T. I'm awful proud of that kid. Hopefully
I'll get a ride in it this weekend.

bitchin project!!

How long was the build time?

any estimates on money/budget? Looks like it was built on the cheap... cool as hell to me.

BTW, you got any pics of the 'A' in the background of this pic... and what kind of intake setup is that?

I remember when hot rods were dangerous and sex was safe...wait a minute...hot rods are dangerous again. Does that mean sex is safe?

What the fuck is wrong with that kid?!?

Kids today are born with computers in their ears. There is no reason a 20 year old kid is not online. Seriously. Knock some sense into him, please. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Junkyard Dog 32:

I'll be sure to tell him. He's gonna be real excited to see the words written here overnight. I'm gonna print the thread and take it home with me. When he comes over to put his windshield in, I'm gonna hand him the stack of paper and say 'Read 'em and weep, motherfucker'.

Then I'll have the pleasure of watching the smile develop on his face.

I only wish I could bring that moment back to share with everyone here.

Fab32 and those others wondering why he's not on the HAMB:

Like Mike[y] said, he doesn't do computers. We've tried to introduce him to them 'cause there's a lot of information and resources he'd be interested in on the web, but he just doesn't pick it up. He's definitely intelligent enough to, but he'd rather spend his time with carburetors.

Perhaps that's why this car got finished. Ya think? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

1LowChief:

He got the car last Halloween, so that makes it an even five months. The last time I asked him for a build cost, I think he replied 3K.

The car in the background is mine. It's a '25 Chrysler B70. 34Fordtk is right. It's a Chrysler cross-ram. I'm a Chevy guy, but wanted to stay away from the SBC for this car and wanted to keep everything as much Chrysler as possible... and there's no way I can afford a hemi and all it's associated gear. So 440 and crossrams were the answer. It's got the look I want. More photos are within the site in my sig.

Killer and Hammeredabone:

How are you fuckers doing? We gonna swill some beers in Vegas? We all got a shit ton of catching up to do.

Cheers, guys.

Jesus, a 20 year old kid builds a completely bitchen, traditional car - and the story drops to page 3?

Fucking amazing car. Damn cool kid too.

Damn that thing is pretty bad ass. Like paint job by mother nature. Give that damn kid a lesson on the computer, by the looks of the car he should be able to pick it up.

You can only thread the needle between the k-rail and the Peterbuilt so many times before it starts to take a significant toll on the 'ol ticker. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I kept having Wile-E-Coyotesque images of me ending up pancake flat against a guard rail somewhere. Further realizing that I can't just shake it off and become normally-shaped again like the 'ol coyote does, I figured I should do something about the demon hidden behind the instrument panel.

We're gonna miss you at VLV, man. How 'bout Paso? You gonna try again for that this year?
