Hi my name is Michael and I have been a certified “car-nut” since high school. I am 53 years old and live and play in Fair Oaks, CA. My first ride, (purchase) was a 1951 Ford F-1 pick-up with a V8 flat head and 3-speed on the column. I painted it gray primer, dropped it about 3 inches by de-arching the springs, (looked good), but rode like hell. I ran Fresno chrome dumped rims with Goodyear low profile tires; auto-sounds were an eight-track, black carpet and stock seat. Over the years I’ve built a number of “traditional and resto-rods” and do all my own frame work, metal fabrication, body, paint, wiring, motor building, and generally anything except “auto upholstery”. I also, fabricate metal-art, fencing, gates, and restore "old" bikes and ride new ones. My current rides are; 1951 Ford Chopped Top pick-up, 2005 Ford Mustang GT, 2005 Dodge Magnum AW-drive Wagon. My current project, I am getting ready to chop the top on another 1951 Ford truck and have a 1951 Chrysler 331 Hemi to run in it and will need to locate an adaptor plate for 4-speed. In summary, I am glad to carry-on the tradition as a H.A.M.B. member.

Jokerswild i have a 51 effy as well. It is sporting a 8BA flathead column shift I am in the process of putting a Merc 3 speed w/ overdrive and remote shift. I just chopped the top some 7.5 inches in the front and 5 inches in the back. I put the axel over the leafs in the rear and turned over the top leaf in the front. It looks really cool!Hi my name is Michael and I have been a certified “car-nut” since high school. I am 53 years old and live and play in Fair Oaks, CA.
