I have a chance in a local auction on Sunday to pickup a 1968 Triumph chopper. I have a feeling that it will not bring much $ and I would love to own it. Being my first time at vintage bikes - whats it worth? $500 to $1000. Help me out guys.

Keep in mind that a high quality "blueorint" rebuild of a Triumph motor costs between $1600 and $2500...
Of course if its a chopper you might not care if it's a fast, hard runnin motor.
Hope you score it for a looowwww price

Its worth a grand even it doesn't run. A decent running bike about 1500-2500 . There cheap to build and parts are a pleenty. I got quite a bit if you need anything.
