View Full Version : Jeem's F-100 hits the street
Man, it's been a long time coming, but, it's running and driving. Took it out this weekend. Drives great, need dropped spindles though. Thanks to alot of friends, namely, the guys at Industrial Chassis, El Polacko, and Safari55, Chris, Sandy, Mike the Cleaner, my crazy uncle Mark, Bernie etc. etc. It's nice to have friends. I'm taking it to the Striper's party this next weekend.
Started up, first try, last weekend. Water pump, fuel pump and radiator all leaked. Replaced them this last week and everything seems to work well.
I'm stoked.

Bass, it's been done to death, cliche, etc., etc. but a big fat Moon tank will reside in the center of the grille cavity.

Jeem, you did good with that one. Being a chevy truck guy I must say when I see the 60's Ford's done up like you have it makes it want one. Very cool
Dude, Moon tanks in F-100 grille cavities haven't been done to death now have they? I know I've never seen it before, and I think it'll be perfect.
You never cease to amaze me Mr. Jeem.

Dirty
It has the dreaded Volare and I need some dropped spindles so I can screw in some more suspension. Don't worry, I got plenty of shit from Stevie El Polacko for it. I'm looking forward to driving it more. Dr. J is right concering the WWWs (they were pretty much out by the early 60's) but who cares?! I like the look.
BTW it's a '64

Thanks for the link edmurder.
I can't go as low as Jeem anyway, I still use mine as a truck. Couple of trips down the Gravel Roads I travel on and there wouldn't be much chrome left in the middle of that bumper http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Hey Jeem, what are you using for front turn signals?
That truck is so cool,Looks great!!!

all these JEEM designed f100s on the road at once!!!
That's right. Industrial Chassis is going assholes and elbows on ElPolackos unibody as well as one for a cherished customer, Joe. They have at least 2 others going on AND just sent a swb unibody out the door a couple of months ago. Freaky.
Yes. I am an idiot. You'd think I would have taken more pics. Here's one of the few. Ugly artist.
No, I'm not going to Vegas. Too much going on right now. I won't say that I'm going to the Bug-O-Rama instead. Ooops. Did I say that?!

I just put the sand blaster away for the last time on my truck. God willing and the creek don't rise, I will drive my 63 Unibody to Vegas in two weeks. I haven't been taking any pictures as I go, dumbass. But there should be plenty when I'm done. Crowd pleaser for sure.
Looks good Mr Smith. I told you so............

[/ QUOTE ]
It's the same width as most ALL frames! Actually, it's a stamped, formed piece that bolts to the donor car. All you really need to do is measure the width of your frame and scribe a line down each side of the subframe (at that width), then, make some templates based off that straight line. Using the templates you just made, hold 'em up to your frame and scribe the profile on the side of each framerail, cut out, clamp the sub frame in place, weld it up and box in the open sides. There have been many articles written on these installs.
It's fairly easy and cheap. There are better handling setups out there though; Mustang II, GM clips, or ElPolackos baby, the Dakota. Do your homework.
I'll get out to 35th real soon. But, I WILL be at the striper's gig on Saturday. Anyone interested should come out, it's at Autostyle 8615 W. Kelton, Peoria AZ It starts in the morning and goes into the night. Lots of scary stripers, illustrators, painters and general car guys will be there as well as hot rods, customs, street rods, low riders, bikes, etc. They always have food and drink there. If you have ANYTHING you need striped, that is a good place and time to do so. Don't say I didn't warn you....
