HOK Pearl ICE....anyone?? Barnett?

Warpiggs post got me to thinking.....about pearl Ice on the top. Now over what? Does it change the tint? If it's blue does it change to lt blue? etc.

As fas as I understand, Pearl Ice is like a cross between a mini flake and pearl...

you can get it in different colors and it does alter the overall color/look
depending on what you mix it with... it sparkles alot too...

maybe Donnie(lownslow) will see this and have something to say...

I ain't painting nuthin....yet. I am just trying to get a handle on it. That stuff is 80 bux for a samll jar and I wanna make sure before I buy it what I can do with it. I heard it was a form of crushed glass. True/False? I was thinking it would be cool over a roof, like on warpigg's car.

I guess I should've specified. I meant the Pearl Ice in White. That stuff pops!!!

Yeah, like everyone is saying, it is used like a pearl. We painted the flames on AntiChrysler's Chrysler with the white Pearl Ice...the stuff is COOOOOOLLLL!!! this is some loser's '65 Rivi that has Gold Pearl Ice mixed
in with HOK Lime-Gold Candy over a silver basecoat...

the shit sparkles and dances in the sunlight..!!

Here's a link to autobodydepot auction on ebay for HOK Ice Pearl spec sheet and catalog. This is the internet side of the Tri-City Auto Body Supply house here in San Diego. They are good guys to deal with and may be able to give you a better price on this paint...
