A friend of mine at work showed me this plaque he got at a garage sale about 25 years ago. Anybody know anything about this club? Looks like this chapter was just outside of Dallas.

Boom Boom, you should check with Karl K. on that. He's as up on the history in this area as anyone I know.
Hmmm....I've never seen or heard of that club before. My dad is big into collecting Texas Car Club plaques, but he doesn't have that one. Interesting that they put the high school name on it as opposed to Dallas. Phil is right...Karl would be a good person to talk to about it.
I can tell you that Chicago Metalcraft was a California company (Bay Area I think) that produced almost all the original club plaques in the '50s-'60s.

Ill PM you Karls number if you like.
He IS the "Unofficial Texas Hot Rod historian".
Paul Adams may also shed some light on the club also...his brother was a hot rod / racer guy back in the 50s in the Dallas area.
Paul has one of the best collection of car club plaques , photos and Texas hot rod artifacts ive ever seen. Karl abd Paul share all there info with one another...so I also recommend you contact Karl for an answer. He loves to investigate this kind of stuff.

Thanks Honest, If you can get me a number or email for Karl that would be great. Speakin of Honest, my friend who has the plaque just handed me a "Honest Charlie" catalog from 1971. Man things sure were cheap back then!

Update on the Rod Angels plaque. This plaque is now for sale on ebay if your a collector. I did find out that the company that did the casting went out of business in 1968. Obrien Truckers acquired about 5000 of the original castings from the company.
