Hiya folks,

Update on Daisy, the trucks coming along now primed the cab and put engine back together and painted it pink! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Stripped gearbox down and waiting for some new bearings.

Got the dent out of the side of cab and lead filled it. I'll get Taildraggin to do a tech post on how he did it if anyone's interested. Took some action shots. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just preparing inner wings for priming. Then gotta pick colour of what I want Truck painted then I can paint firewall and put cab back on chassis.

Could still be on track to have her finished before MOT runs out (May 15). http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Couldn't resist posting a few pics of what I done to my Oil Filter last night.

I know it's not brilliant but it's different.

Do a search on Varga Girls or Alberto Vargas. You really don't recognize it? He's THE pin up artist.

Cool stuff Daisy. If your whole truck is that detailed it is going to be a real nice ride.

Keep at it.

cool stuff, daisy.

i've never had one of those trucks and never paid much attention when looking at one with the original 6 in it. where is that oil filter located? will it be in plain sight or will it be one of those details that only you will know is there?

Hi Atch

It's actually located near the front so it will be visable.

Here's a picture of what it looked like before.

The engine has since been cleaned and rebored and painted PINK! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif (the same colour as Betty Boops dress so i do mean Pink http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
